ABOUT THE PROJECT
Core Gameplay
The main reference for this game was Balatro. To explore the theme of risk, it was decided to use a gambling base, namely roulette. In each round, the player needed to reach a certain number of points by placing bets. Talismans were added to increase the player's chances of winning by boosting certain bet types, available for purchase in the shop along with additional chips.
Various details were added to make gameplay enjoyable, such as chips flying away with a deceptive 3D animation or a ball on the roulette wheel spinning with a random impulse, even though results were determined instantly.
All animations in this game were procedural, created without DOTween or similar tools.
Result
The project provided valuable experience in creating procedural animations and enhancing game feel through motion and feedback. The game also received high ratings in the “Fun” category, highlighting its engaging and satisfying gameplay loop.
